****** The story of our "Baby Birth Celebration Tag Necklace":
It was eight in the evening when her phone rang. Marie got up and went to the living room to get her phone from the coffee table. From the dining room, I could hear bits of the conversation. Very small bits. Marie said yes a lot but she sounded excited. She came back into the dining room, one hand holding her phone, the other hand on her cheek. She was grinning ear to ear. “That was Jan. She thinks she’s gonna have the baby tonight.” My heart leapt. My baby is going to have a baby. “We are going to be grandparents tonight!”
Two hours later, Bill called. Again, it was Marie who answered the call. Jan was indeed in labor. “If we were any nearer we come over and wait with you”, Marie told him. And that was true. After all, this is our first grandchild. Unfortunately, seeing them would require boarding a plane.
We didn’t sleep at all that night. When the call ended, Marie and I looked at each other. “Turn on the TV” she said. I did and we sat on the couch. We watched one show after another. Changed channels when one show got too boring.
Four hours later, she arrived. Bill just sent a text message this time – with a picture of that tiny bundle of fat and bone. Thank goodness for technology. After we have had some sleep, Marie began to think of what to get for our daughter and her husband when we visit them in a month or so.
Today we are going to meet her for the first time. The plane will land in fifteen minutes and Bill is waiting down there to pick us up. In Marie’s purse is our gift for Bill and Jan, a “Baby Birth Celebration Tag Necklace“ - a simple chain necklace with a rhodium-plated dog tag as a pendant. On it are the details of our granddaughter’s birth: the date, her name, her weight, along with her parents’ name. When Marie first saw it, she just knew that Jan would love it. At the same time, she knew it was something Bill would also wear. It was perfect. Just like our granddaughter who I am so excited to hold.

Larger than I expected
I liked the tag but it was a bit too large with a chain that was too long. But my daughter is wearing it so she must like it.
ProsI liked the concept of the item and the details. The quality was good.
ConsIt isn't really a nice piece of jewellery because it is too large and hangs too low.

Beautiful Dog Tag
I bought this as a gift for my Daughter who is about to adopt a baby. It is even better looking in person. I mistakenly thought this gift was a "pair" of dog tags. I believe it should have been shown as one with a note stating the reverse side for description. I will be ordering another necklace soon.
ConsI thought it was a "pair" of dog tags instead of just one.

I really like the details in the charms and it is what I have been looking for. The birth information with the hand print and foot print are so nice. The chain feels greaet and the dual tags are great value. The clasp works well and the silver has stayed shiny for me.
