| | Silver will naturally tarnish with age and body chemistry. Use a soft silver flannel cloth and rub thoroughly. No commercial cleaning agents as this will remove inscription detail and may damage pearls.
For stubborn tarnish you can use a SUPER fine #0000 steel wool and rub lightly followed by a flannel silver polish cloth.
You may get your piece wet - it is waterproof. However, it is not advisable to let it soak in a pool or bathtub because that may negatively affect the antique finish and pearls.
You can purchase a silver polish cloth at a jewelry store or a major retail store.
